Position overview
We are seeking a Clinical Delivery Leader / Scrum Master to lead clinical and healthcare technology initiatives that improve patient care, clinical workflows, operational effectiveness, and business outcomes. This ongoing contract sits within an enterprise project management office, renews in five-month increments, and moves to new projects as each one completes.
The role combines project management, Agile leadership, stakeholder engagement, and delivery oversight while partnering closely with clinical leaders, physicians, nursing teams, operational stakeholders, and technology teams.
Key responsibilities
Delivery Leadership
- Lead end-to-end delivery of clinical and healthcare technology initiatives.
- Manage scope, schedule, budget, risks, dependencies, and resource planning.
- Establish project governance, reporting, and executive-level communications.
Agile Leadership
- Serve as Scrum Master for Agile delivery teams.
- Facilitate PI Planning, Sprint Planning, Daily Standups, Reviews, and Retrospectives.
- Remove impediments and promote continuous improvement.
Clinical Partnership
- Collaborate with physicians, nursing leadership, care teams, and operational stakeholders.
- Translate clinical needs into actionable delivery plans and technology solutions.
- Support organizational change management and adoption.
Technology Delivery
- Partner with architects, developers, analysts, and infrastructure teams.
- Oversee delivery across EHR/EMR (Cerner), clinical applications, healthcare data and analytics, AI and automation, cloud, integrations and APIs, and digital health platforms.
Required qualifications
- Experience leading both Waterfall and Scrum projects.
- Delivery experience on clinical or clinical analytics projects.
- Strong healthcare and clinical domain knowledge.
- Technical understanding of EHR systems, data and analytics, integrations, and cloud platforms.
- Registered Nurse (RN) with digital leadership experience on clinician-facing projects.
- Cerner EHR experience.
- CSM, PSM, SAFe, PMP, or comparable certification.
